Our take

I picked up the Gemini G2V knowing it was AS-IS, and it's definitely a project unit. The 2-channel layout is straightforward, and the 16 pads give you room for triggering samples and loops. But the sound quality is limited by the 44.1 kHz sampling rate, and the build feels a bit plasticky. The lack of warranty means you're on your own if something fails. For a beginner looking to learn the basics on a tight budget, it might work, but I'd only recommend it if you're comfortable with soldering or repairs. The built-in mixer and sound card are handy, but there's no USB or digital output.
