Our take
The Gemini GLS-550 is a party speaker that puts fun first. The 800-watt RMS power is plenty for a house party, and the built-in wireless mic is a hit for karaoke nights. The LED light show adds a club vibe, and Bluetooth connectivity works reliably. I liked the 2.1 channel sound with decent bass. However, the build is mostly plastic, and the sound lacks clarity at high volumes. The FM radio is a nice touch, but the unit is a bit bulky. For $150, it's a great value for casual use, but serious DJs will want a more refined system.
